Description:The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania, a 166-acre premier public garden in Philadelphia, has openings for nine year-long interns. Positions are open in education, urban forestry, plant protection, plant propagation, arboriculture, botany, horticulture, and the rose and flower garden. Click on “Education” and “Internships.”Interns work under direction of department. supervisor; seminars and practical sessions to help interns develop professionally are held weekly. Interns receive academic credit at UPenn. Salary: $10.60 per hour plus health, dental and tuition benefits, four weeks paid vacation. Positions start June 17, 2013. Qualifications: background in horticulture, biology, botany, landscape design, or education.
