The university provides approximately 2,500 places in halls of residence on or near to the main campuses. Most rooms are single study/bedrooms in self-catering flats with either en-suite or shared bathroom facilities. Some self-contained studio flats are also available at the Greenwich Campus.
Daniel Defoe Hall is a new hall of residence near the Greenwich Campus that opened in September 2014. The hall, located next to the Greenwich rail and Docklands Light Railway station less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Stockwell Street building and 10 minutes by train from Central London, includes 358 en-suite rooms for students in a mix of flat shares, studios and “mini-flats” for two students as well as two student lounges and a mini-gym for residents. There is Wi-Fi throughout the building as well as direct computer network access in each study bedroom.
