The Landscape is a collective blog written by the Landscape Architecture and Urbanism staff and students at the University of Greenwich, London.
1. The University of Greenwich is the only university in London that teaches Landscape Architecture from Bachelors (BA) to Masters (MA, MLA, MSc) and on to PhD. Landscape at Greenwich was founded in 1965.
2. Teaching focused on design excellence in sites-specific projects, leading to students and graduates working with design practices in London and around the world, such as with Gustafson Porter + Bowman, Martha Schwartz Partners, Arup, The Decorators and KLA.
3. Technical expertise in material and plant technologies, green roofs, living walls, public space, urban infrastructures and urbanism is taught by ecologists, architects and engineers from consultancies across London, at our award winning Stockwell Street building, and in partnership with organisations such as Peabody Trust, The Royal Parks and the Greater London Authority.
4. Fourteen landscape roofs, big studios and small class sizes contribute to success of graduates developing award-winning projects and gaining a reputation as outstanding designers. 100% of graduates gained employment in 2017 (UNISTATS).
5. Landscape Institute accredited programmes and hosts of European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS), International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and Landscape Research Group (LRG) conferences in 2017/18.
