Recent proposals for a new bridge across the Thames in London have been embraced by the Mayor. The design set out by Heatherwick Studio presents the city with a planted bridge connecting the South Bank with the Embankment. But as a concept design this proposal leaves many questions unanswered. What do you think of the design or the need for a new bridge on the Thames? Comments below please.

  1. It seems very heavy and lacking elegance. In addition, it is in close proximity to two existing pedestrian crossings on the Thames.
